The above tests were conducted on a competitive model. These are not third party tests, but tests conducted by Viatek for competitive analysis purposes only. These tests can be easily replicated by any individual. The competitive product used was purchased at a large drug chain and was compared to a Viatek product pulled from the warehouse. Tests were conducted to show the plastic quality of Viatek is different than the competitors. The tests do not indicated that the competitor is not worthy of sale, but that the durability is not the same. Market worthiness is determined by the FDA, who regulates products used with foods.

The microwave test was conducted three times on the same container. First time. 5 minutes, second time 10 minutes, third time 5 minutes, switching between the containers in the same microwave.  These two containers represent what happed to the containers after the tests were performed.  The Viatek container because slightly sticky, while the competitive container melting away and actually got stuck to the bottom of the microwave.
